I’m Tara Cull, a Melbourne artist and learning designer. I paint Australian birds and botanicals with a mix of realism and playful design. Fine brushwork brings the details to life while soft-sprayed backgrounds and simple shapes add movement and mood. The natural world is my constant inspiration. Birds, flowers and built forms draw me in for their colour, structure and quiet stories. I like to explore form, break it down, then rebuild it with loose, expressive strokes. Sometimes I zoom right in to capture the stillness of a moment. Other times I let the paint move and tell its own story of energy and mood.
My florals and trees I use spray and acrylic to create layered compositions where colour and movement lead. Architecture appears in cropped views and hidden details that invite a slower look. Together these works sit between abstraction and realism and invite you to pause and notice what is often missed.

While originals hold their own magic, seeing my work in print form feels just as special. Each print captures the colour, detail, and emotion of the original, allowing more people to bring a little piece of nature into their homes.
